BFA graduate from Bezalel. Participated in group exhibitions at Beit Kandinof, Indie Gallery and P8 Gallery. Banaim’s work employs analog photography to generate works which deal with the notion of identity. His unique observations raise questions about his generation, about a distorted and artificial natural world and about everyday moments, the complexities of which are meticulously examined. His works engage with an aspiration for perfection that rises from an encounter with enigmatic figures, utopic-yet-fractured places and familiar situations. By peeping into a broken realm of images, he captures his nearby surroundings and casts them in a new, unconventional light.
