BA graduate from Bezalel. Participated in group exhibitions at MoBY, Beit Hansen, Alfred Cooperative Institute for Art & Culture, Love Art, Make Art event in Tel Aviv and art galleries in Austria, Germany and The Czech Republic. Melnick’s works include drawings, sculptures and installations. In her art, she explores the melding of organic and primitive forms and archeological, naïve images with contemporary culture. In her series of paintings, Melnick offers a different view of objects and banal situations which take on a dreamlike quality through the combination of colored pencils and dark paper. The sculptures Melnick is exhibiting are made of aluminum cutouts, which create colorful compositions while flattening the images and transforming them into three-dimensional objects.
