Guy Jana

Guy Jana, a ceramic designer who graduated from the Department of Ceramic & Glass Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. His affair with pottery and ceramics began more than twenty years ago while still studying at Wiso-France High School for Arts, Tel-Aviv. Jana states that from an early age it was clear to him that he wanted to engage in design as his life’s pursuit. In his works, Jana creates combinations between a potter’s wheel-made sculptures and painting. Through the connection to the material, he explores contemporary, collective and subjective ideals of the beautiful and fantastic. The pottery that Jana creates is all individual, one-of-a-kind works, that are characterized by bright colors and a rough outer layer, such as painting and engraving that will not be repeated twice.
