The Ibex Man

The film “The Ibex Man” originated from a study of the historical figure of Zionist zoologist Israel Aharoni. In the film, Israel Aharoni arrives to Mitzpe Ramon in 2019. Following an encounter with one of the employees at a local hotel, the Ibex Man is forced to deal with the question of whether it is possible to bridge between the artist’s point of view and that of the researcher? Is it possible to bridge between the moral, scientific order, stating that “ibex should not be fed” and another decision, which chooses not to follow signs?
